If you have ever worried about what to wear to the office, then a suit is almost always the easiest option. It can solve all sorts of worries like ‘will I look smart enough?’, ‘Is my outfit on trend?’. Whilst suits are nothing new they have been around for many years, it is quite easy to find an on trend style of suit. But more importantly with a suit your don’t need to wear a really on trend style. Some times it can look better to pick a classic style that really suits your body shape and then accessorise with some fashionable accessories to bring the whole look right on trend.

The most fashionable styles of suit at the moment are simple and minimalistic styles with clean cut lines. Colour schemes are also very much based around neutrals  think black (which  is always in fashion) but also grey, brown, taup and of course camel. Whilst camel is very on trend this winter it can be a difficult colour to wear a suit in if you want to minimise your top or lower half and darker neutrals can be much more flattering. By investing a simple capsule wardrobe consisting of a skirt, dress, jacket and trousers, you can easily vary your outfit each day.

A line and flared skirts are really on trend at the moment and look great with almost all styles of jacket. Try adding a pair of lady like heels and a handbag for a little bit of Mad Men style. A smart shift dress is also a great way to work the seasons lady like trend but also stick with a classic and flattering shape.

As far as trousers are concerned, straight cut are almost always the most stylish and flattering style. Whilst new styles and shapes of trousers will emerge each season like this years ankle skimming tailored style, in reality these styles can be difficult to wear and quite unflattering. Wearing a heel with your straight cut trousers, even if you can only walk in a slight heel will help to lengthen the leg.

Military jackets are also very fashionable at the moment and are great for making a style statement in the work place. Look for khaki colours, double breasted styles and details like metallic buttons and epaulets.

In order to bring your classic suit right up to date you can take your pick from a huge range of accessories for the season including scarves and jewellery. You can also add a fashion shirt, blouse or camisole top to your skirt or trouser and jacket combination. Choose from animal prints, richly coloured winter florals, berry tones, lace, polka dots, paisley and colourful abstract prints. Lady like jewellery like pearls and vintage style lockets look great too. How about pinning a colourful brooch or flower corsage to your lapel for a really stylish look.

Finally a brown or tan leather satchell style hand bag is not only incredibly trendy but also really versatile and will go with almost anything.

Going to a wedding is such a great opportunity to get dressed up but not everyone relished making the all important decision on what to wear to a wedding. Will I look dressed up enough? Will I look over dressed? Will I feel uncomfortable? Will I be too hot or too cold? are all concerns that people will have when choosing what to wear to a wedding. Each wedding is different bit often a wedding will last right through the afternoon and late into the evening so it is important to choose something to wear that will be really comfortable. For weddings that have an evening party, there is also the decision on whether to get changed and wear something different for the evening.

When choosing what to wear there are really only two rules. Firstly don’t wear white (unless of course you are the bride) and secondly wear what feels right for you. Different weddings may have different dress codes and for weddings with religious ceremonies there may be certain rules or etiquette on what should and should not be worn. If in doubt check with the bride or groom before hand. Usually people will tend to wear something  a bit smarter than their everyday wear for a wedding but you should never choose something that feels wrong for you as you will regret it all day.

Suits and dresses are the most popular choices for ladies wedding outfits but you could also wear  trouser suits, smart womens trousers with a lovely top or even a pair of smart or tailored shorts with a smart top. The choice is yours and it is up to you to decide which suits your personality and style. Generally speaking ladies wedding suits are a bit different from the basic black, grey or navy suits that you would see in the work place but you could try wearing a neutral coloured suit dressed up with some bright accessories like a scarf or hat.

Dresses are also a great choice as they are so feminine and usually comfortable to wear. Look for dresses in beautiful colours and prints and luxurious fabrics to look ultra stylish. As the weather can sometimes be a little cooler in September, you will probably want to put a little thought into what you will wear to cover up. Shrugs, boleros, wraps and tailored jackets all look really good with dresses.

Many ladies choose to wear hats to weddings. This is very much dependant on your personal taste and if you feel uncomfortable wearing a hat, it is usually perfectly acceptable not to wear one. A modern alternative to hats is a fascinator which usually comprises of feathers attached to hair band or hair clip. You could also do your hair in an elaborate up do with a pretty beaded or jewelled hair clip. In case of windy weather on the big day, it is worth considering investing in a hat pin to securely hold your hat in place.

Many women often only invest a limited amount of time and energy into deciding what they should wear to work.  Those women who have no uniform to wear and who are free to wear what they like to work often do not make as much of an effort as they probably should.  Instead they simply prefer to concentrate their energy on ensuring that they look good outside of the office.  However, there is no reason why women should be able to look stylish both at work and also outside of work.  There is nothing to say that these two things have to be mutually exclusive.

In fact it is very important to appear elegant and stylish within the workplace in order to exude a sense of professionalism.  For those who work in an office the dress code is generally quite smart and as such most women simply opt for suits.  That is not to say that there is anything wrong with suits, far from it, but many women tend to veer towards plain black or navy suits which fail to inject a sense of their style or personality.  In addition to this many of the suits in question tend to be ill fitting and shapeless.

In order to create the right look in the office a bit of time and consideration must be expended on the options available.  Instead of simply opting for black suits all the time why not try a lighter colour such as grey which would be particularly fitting for the summer months.  Similarly consideration should be given to mixing and matching suits, for example teaming a striped jacket with a plain skirt or trousers as this will ultimately freshen up any womanâ??s look.  What is more a considerable amount of time should be spent on ensuring that any suits which are purchased are tailored and well fitting as this will provide a hint of professionalism.

It is just as important to look stylish in the workplace as it is to look stylish within a social setting and in some instances it is even more important in order to be taken seriously at work.  Thankfully this can now be easily done as there are lots of great options available to women when it comes to work wear.

All too often women reach a certain age and they begin to believe it is no longer suitable for them to dress fashionably.  With many women afraid of having the comment â??mutton dressed as lambâ? directed at them as a result of their choice of clothes, women tend to go the other extreme and opt for clothes that are much too old for them.  However, this situation need not occur and can be easily avoided.

Although women must update and adapt their look as they get older so as they no longer dress the same as a girl half their age it is also important that women donâ??t settle for ill fitting, fussy clothes.  Such a dowdy look will leave the woman looking somewhat older than what she actually is.  Rather women should realise that it is possible to buy clothes which are not only stylish and flattering but which also reflect current fashion trends.

There are a few staple wardrobe items which all women, irrespective of their age, should own.  The first must have fashion item that should be in every womanâ??s wardrobe is a suit.  Ladies suits are extremely versatile items which can be worn in a range of formal situations.  However, it is important to note that well fitting tailored suits look best as these tend to flatter and hug the figure and consequently leave women feeling more confident.  A black or navy suit is probably the best choice as darker colours tend to project a sense of formality and are ideal for the office.  Whether you opt for a trouser suit, or a skirt suit is entirely up to you and what you feel most comfortable in.

The second item which should be present in every womanâ??s wardrobe is a blouse, which can be teamed with your suit.  Patterned blouses, or coloured blouses are a great way of adding a hint of colour to your suit but for those who think these types of blouses are a bit too fussy for their liking a crisp white blouse is the ideal choice.  Again it is important to ensure that the blouse is well fitting, as ill fitting blouses will leave the wearer looking bigger than she is and ultimately less confident in her clothing choice.

Whatâ??s more another fashion item that older women should consider is the mac coat.  This particular style of coat is particularly fashionable at the moment and favoured by many.  However, much like suits it can be worn by women of all ages.  Furthermore a mac can be very flattering to the female body as the belt pulls the waist in and draws attention to this part of the body.  However, it is advised that older women opt for neutral tones or black in terms of colour, as anything too bright may appear too youthful.  In addition to this by opting for such colours you are afforded a greater degree of flexibility when it comes to the number of fashion items you can team it with.

It is therefore possible for older women to dress both stylishly and fashionably and still be wearing clothes which are appropriate to their age.  The key is simply to find clothes which reflect trends but which have been adapted so that they flatter and complement an older womanâ??s style.  However, most significantly it is important to opt for well fitting clothes which you feel comfortable in.
