I bought this dress and i think it absolute stunning. The quality is very good, and it was delivered within 3 days .I got this in the sale and so i paid very little for it which means that the money that was saved can go towards another good cause for the wedding. The only thing that i found was that i loved the shoes that the model was wearing, i rang the customer help line to try and get some info on them and found the lady on the phone was not in the least bit helpfull at all. I now can't wait to get married now...

I totally agree that women (and men) of my age (approaching 50s) need to think about age appropriate clothing. That is not to say dress like an old lady, as 50 is no longer an age where you should cover up in dull colours and knit in a corner for entertainment. However, skimpy looks horrid and out of place even if you still have the figure to wear it - and many 50 year olds do have great figures, but I think these are best shown to perfection by using the good advice on this page - tailoring is a superb idea, and colour is also good if toned well with your skin tone. I cannot understand the mentality of ladies of a certain age who go out wearing clothes bought from teen boutiques. It doesnt fool anyone and looks wrong. I also think keeping things simple is good too. Bet Lynch copying, with huge bling accessories, to my way of thinking, makes one just look older. This also goes for bingo wings and cavernous cleavage. Wear your clothes with pride, but be age appropriate - lets face it, you will look much better the younger beer bellied, badly dressed men and women who think miles of spare tyre poking over the top of jeans and under skimpy tops is attractive. And dont forget the importance of good underwear to help keep certain areas trimmer and more supported.

I like the little black dress you have used in your blog and I agree that if you wear your clothes with confidence you can look a million dollars without spending a lot of money.
I look forward to seeing what you suggest for the winter season. As a slightly larger lady I tend to look bigger in knitwear.
