We are always looking at ways to make ourselves look slimmer and are trying to find clothes that are flattering as well as stylish.

Well here is a possible way to incorporate the two:

The high-waisted trouser with a belt:

The high cut waist of the two piece style is a great look for women with a pleasant curve to their belly. Most women are self-conscious of their tummy’s and there are a lot of products available on the market to flatten and shape, and paired with high-waisted trousers achieving that more slender appearance should be easier.

You can get high-legged trousers in a variety of styles and colours to suit every shape and size and paired with a belt, it can give you that hourglass figure that will hide any troublesome area.

Everyone needs a summer holiday, it’s it just the holiday itself, it’s the whole build up that gets us all excited, especially the shopping.

So we have complied a list of holiday essentials that you must always remember to pack..

1.       Bikini

Don’t bring more than two bikinis as you’ll only ever end up wearing your favourite couple anyway.  Shop to flatter your body shape and feel confident by the pool side

2.       Sun hat

A large floppy sun hat will serve two purposes â?? essentially it protects your head and avoids sunstroke.  As an additional benefit an oversize sun hat will give a glamour factor to your sunbathing and slim your body.

3.       Sandals

Shoes will take up too much precious room in your suitcase and won’t be comfortable to wear in hot weather anyway.  Invest in some pretty sandals and make sure you manicure toes before jetting off abroad.

4.       Maxi dress

Very on trend, and versatile for both evening, and throwing over a swimming costume in the day time, a maxi is an essential for your suitcase this summer. Everybody needs a collection of women’s dresses for the summer!

As we move further and further away from the cold weather our minds should be thinking about what we can wear over the summer months and at some point over the period many of us will be involved in a garden party.

Who doesn’t love a garden party anyway, the smells of the BBQ, a nice class of fresh crisp white wine and the heat that will allow many of us to wear a little less, but that’s exactly it what do you wear to a garden party?

The obvious choice would be tunic dresses, they can be very flattering, especially for those of us who are larger than the average lady. Try using floral prints as well, these can distract attention to unwanted areas and create a splash of colour.

Then there is the most popular among many plus size ladies; the maxi dress. These are great at hiding larger tummies and great for concealing those unwanted flabby areas. Again try using florals, especially green, to keep in the theme of a garden party and pair with some sandals-comfy and stylish!

Leading fashion house, Debenhams, have launched an app for iPhone similar to its Beauty Club Loyalty programme according to marketingweek.co.uk.

The app comes as part of the brand’s latest digital initiatives programme designed to give customers a multi-channel service across all of their range of clothing and other brands online or in-store.

It will give users beauty advice from a team of experts which includes videos of their products streamed from Debenhams TV. It will also help users with a virtual shopping service which can help customers choose perfumes and find specific items they have seen online or in-store.

This will be the first in a long line of smartphone apps aimed at consumers with each being built around a specific theme, according to Simon Forster from Debenhams.

He said: “You can never replicate the exact in store environment but the app joins it up. We expect customers to augment their whole experience using stores, online and apps.”

Now that the royal wedding has been and gone it’s time to start thinking about what’s coming up over the summer, and if you’re interested in sports you’ll be counting down the days until Wimbledon,

So what is a girl to wear, whether you are watching the matches at the local pub or going down to sit on Henman Hill, you will need to decide whether to follow suit and dress in white.

It’s not a colour for everyone and can sometimes be a little unflattering to the larger lady but getting in the mood by wearing something white should be tradition.

There are hundreds of outlets that will be stocking up on women’s clothing that resemble the crisp, white neat lines of the traditional Wimbledon attire so why not have a look to see what is on offer.

If you don’t fancy wearing white all over perhaps just opt for a little white hat and stick to what you know best elsewhere and leave the tennis whites to the professionals!
