How to look fashionably stylish
Some people like to look stylish, whilst some people like to look fashionable. But the two are not mutually exclusive and it is perfectly possible to look fashionably stylish or stylishly fashionable if you so choose. The question is which is most important to you? It is more of a priority for you to look stylish or fashionable. Generally speaking when we are younger we tend to care a lot more about fashion than style and as we get older style begins to play a more important role for us. Perhaps this is because we begin to learn about which styles really suit our body shape and realise that you donâ??t have to follow every single fashion or trend but pick and choose to suit yourself.
Being fashionably stylish is all about creating outfits inspired by current trends but that also flatter and compliment you. It is about working out which of the seasonâ??s key trends will work best for you and adapting them to suit yourself.
Each season there will be a whole range of new silhouettes, prints and colours that are on trend and there are bound to be some that will look great on you. Generally speaking you will know what style of clothes look good on you so donâ??t be afraid to try new shapes but be honest with yourself over whether they really suit you. If in doubt get the opinion of an honest and trusted friend and if unsure stick to a tried and tested style of clothing that you know will work for you. You can ensure that this style still looks fresh and up to date by looking for versions with the seasonâ??s latest colours, details and prints. Again with colours be careful, white may be a huge trend this year but if it makes you look pale, pasty and drained then why not find another of the seasons on trend colours as there are usually many more than one.  Patterns, embroidery, appliqué, beading and other embellishments are all great ways of wearing a style that looks great on you in a new and up to date way.
Accessories are also a great way of making a classic and stylish outfit look fashionable or trendy. The great thing about accessories is that they also allow you to follow a trend for that season without spending too much money. Â If you want to work leopard prints, polka dots or stripes, add a scarf with these patterns on. If you want to try out the latest craze for pattern mixing try adding a scarf and shoes with a clashing pattern, if you want to do ethnic or boho add lots of beads.
Whatever you choose to wear be it classically stylish or fashionably stylish, you should never follow fashion with no regard to how good it looks on you. Always try a piece of clothing on and look in the mirror carefully before deciding to buy but donâ??t be afraid to try out new looks and have fun with your clothes.
